Rubber based Bituminous Adhesive of brush-able consistency

Category:

WALLGUARD is proprietary cementitious waterproofing slurry for concrete and masonry. It is a good product for coatings and overlays. It is an impressive barrier against negative side water pressure. It is a rigid coating with amazing bonding to cementitious and masonry substrates.

Curing: Wallguard does not require long term curing as it reacts relatively fast with water. Only under hot weather or very dry conditions water curing for 24 hours is required.

Packaging: Wallguard is available in 1, 5 &20 kg packing.

Coverage: In general conditions 1.5 -2 Kg/sqmt, WALLGUARD is recommended but in severe conditions 2.5-3 Kg/Sqmt is recommended.

Storage: Wallguard can be stored in unopened original packs for 12 months at 5-35°C (40-95°F) in a dry storage place protected against sunlight.

Application

  • Waterproofing of basements and below grade parking structures
  • Waterproofing of potable water structures
  • Waterproofing of elevator pits
  • Waterproofing against rising dampness in walls
  • Negative side waterproofing underneath flexible waterproofing membranes
  • Prime coat to fill blow holes, honeycombs and surface roughness.

Application Procedure

Cleaning the surface and making it free from loose particles, dust and paint/ putty if any. If the plaster on walls is not stable then the same should be removed till the masonry level.

If the area is showing lime traces or deposits the same should be washed away thoroughly.

Pre wet the area to be treated and apply a slurry coat [1Kg WALLGUARD : 0.30 Ltr Water] of WALLGUARD, using a stiff brush.

Once the 1st coat is dry apply another slurry coat [1Kg WALLGUARD : 0.25 Ltr Water] of WALLGUARD, using a stiff brush.

If the area is heavily damaged then 3 coats are recommended but in general conditions 2 coats should suffice. [Please refer with a MAKPHALT representative for exact condition assessment
